SCRIBO LA DOTTA Campanula

With LA DOTTA Campanula, SCRIBO pays tribute to the Bolognese naturalist Ulisse Aldrovandi, a pioneer of modern science and founder of the Botanical Garden of Bologna in 1568. His work shaped the representation of nature and laid the foundation for the connection between observation, knowledge and beauty that continues to this day.

The color of the LA DOTTA Campanula – a pearly, iridescent lilac – is reminiscent of the bell-shaped blossoms of Campanula bononiensis, a species closely associated with Bologna. The harmonious reflections of the resin capture the light in a unique way, lending the writing instrument a delicate, botanical feel. The platinum-plated clip and trim complete the elegant appearance.

The cap, barrel, grip section, and knob are handcrafted from resin. Length 148 mm, maximum diameter 16.75 mm. The 6.5 mm diameter ebonite feed with two capillaries ensures a consistent flow. The piston-filling system holds 1.42 ml of ink.

The centerpiece is the exclusive SCRIBO gold nib, available in 18 karat gold in line widths from Extra Extra Fine to Stub or as a 14-karat flexible nib in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broad.

Each piece comes in an elegant leather and cotton box. The edition is limited to 219 pieces worldwide.
