SCRIBO PIUMA Tamenuri – HANE Toruko Edition

PIUMA is the collection with which SCRIBO combines lightness, precision, and craftsmanship. Each fountain pen stands for a minimalist design that focuses on material, balance, and the writing experience.

The PIUMA Tamenuri – HANE Toruko Edition combines Italian design language with Japanese lacquer art. The surface is created using traditional Tamenuri technique, where multiple layers of lacquer are applied one over another. Over time, the surface subtly changes, revealing underlying color tones. This creates a vibrant interplay of brown and turquoise that evolves with use.

Cap, barrel, and grip section are made of resin and hand-lacquered in Japan. The oval shape with two facets lies lightly and balanced in the hand. Length 144.5 mm, maximum diameter 15.60 mm, weight 30 g. Depending on the version, the nib, trim ring, and metal parts are finished with yellow gold or ruthenium. The ebonite feed with a 6.5 mm diameter ensures a consistent ink flow. The writing instrument is filled via a cartridge or converter system.

At its heart is the exclusive SCRIBO gold nib, available in 18-karat in Extra Extra Fine, Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, and BB widths, or as a 14-karat flex nib in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, and Broad.

Each PIUMA Tamenuri – HANE Toruko Edition comes in a case made of genuine Japanese kimono silk. The edition is limited to 100 pieces worldwide, optionally with a gold or ruthenium finish.

This model combines two craft traditions and develops its own unique surface over time. A writing instrument that is not just used, but shaped over many years.
