With LA DOTTA Uovo in Raviolo, SCRIBO combines the art of writing with the art of cooking. Inspired by a culinary symbol of Emilia-Romagna, this edition pays tribute to the legendary dish of the San Domenico restaurant in Imola – the “Uovo in Raviolo”, a classic of Italian haute cuisine.
Like the dish itself, this fountain pen embodies artisanal precision, dedication, and refinement. The diamond-cast resin displays warm tones of red, orange, and yellow, inspired by fresh egg pasta, melted butter, and truffles. The metal parts with their Corten PVD finish lend the writing instrument depth and an elegant, modern touch.
This edition was created in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Massimiliano Mascia , who carries on the San Domenico tradition with contemporary creativity. His philosophy – innovation in the service of tradition – finds its counterpart in SCRIBO's work: perfection in technique and materials, combined with a deep respect for craftsmanship and origin.
The cap, barrel, grip section, and knob are handcrafted from diamond-cast resin. Length 148 mm, maximum diameter 16.75 mm. The 6.5 mm diameter ebonite feed with two capillaries ensures a consistent ink flow. The piston-filling system offers a capacity of 1.42 ml.
Inside, the exclusive SCRIBO gold nib is at work, available in 18 karat gold in the line widths Extra Extra Fine, Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, BB, BBB and Stub, or as a 14-karat flex nib in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broad.
Each LA DOTTA Uovo in Raviolo is numbered and comes in SCRIBO packaging with an individual case made of genuine orange suede .
