SCRIBO LA DOTTA Bamboo
Limited Edition – 68 pieces

With LA DOTTA Bamboo, SCRIBO launches a three-part edition inspired by the Three Friends of Winter from Japanese tradition. The first piece is Bamboo, a symbol of permanence, integrity, and the ability to bend without breaking. This edition was created in collaboration with Urushi master Takeshi Matsuyama, whose work represents a rare combination of precision, patience, and artisanal purity.
The surface is finished with a classic Ishime lacquer, its grainy texture reminiscent of hardy soil. The Maki-e decoration, created with gold and silver powder, depicts a delicate bamboo motif, subtly inscribed on the barrel like a silent mark. Another detail is found on the nib: an exclusive engraving that reflects the edition's theme and is visible only when writing. Each LA DOTTA Bamboo pen is individually numbered; the number and edition name are engraved on the filling ring. The signatures of SCRIBO and the artist appear on the cap, with SCRIBO's signature also in katakana.
The fountain pen features the characteristic round shape of the LA DOTTA collection. The cap, barrel, grip section, and knob are made of resin and are entirely lacquered and finished in Japan. It measures 148 mm in length, has a maximum diameter of 16.75 mm, and weighs 30 g. A 6.5 mm diameter ebonite feed with two capillaries ensures a controlled ink flow. The piston-filling system offers a capacity of 1.42 ml.
The exclusive SCRIBO gold nib is available in 18 karat gold in line widths from Extra Fine to Stub, as well as in 14 karat flexible nibs in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium and Broad.
LA DOTTA Bamboo is delivered in a handcrafted wooden box, complemented by a case made of genuine kimono silk. This edition combines Japanese lacquerware with Italian writing tradition and represents a conscious, tranquil approach to writing.
