Pelikan Souverän M1000 Maki-e Four Seasons Lucky Charm Fountain Pen

The Pelikan Limited Edition Four Seasons Lucky Charm combines the Souverän M1000 with traditional Japanese Maki-e artistry. The decoration was created by Maki-e master Shinsai Ishikura of the Kaga Hōshukai artists association and executed in the Kaga Togidashi Takamaki-e technique on a deep black Urushi lacquer base.

Cherry blossoms, flowing water, autumn leaves and snow crystals represent the four seasons. They are complemented by Sayagata and Asanoha patterns as well as the symbolism of the four card suits. Each example is individually handcrafted and signed by the artist.

The fountain pen is based on the Pelikan Souverän M1000. It features a handcrafted 18C 750 bicolor gold nib with rhodium decoration and a classic piston filling mechanism. It is available from us in several nib sizes. The fittings are finished with 24 karat gold plating.
