The Pelikan M640 Polar Lights was introduced in 2008 as part of the "Beauties of Nature" series and is inspired by one of the most impressive light displays on Earth – the Northern Lights. The unique interplay of colors on the bulbous metal barrel is reminiscent of shimmering bands of light in the night sky and gives this fountain pen a distinctive appearance.

Silver-colored, rhodium-plated fittings and the classically curved Pelikan clip emphasize the Nordic sparkle and give the model its luxurious touch.

Inside, the tried-and-tested piston-filling mechanism ensures a generous ink capacity and allows for direct filling from the ink bottle. The 18-karat gold nib with rhodium plating guarantees a smooth, precise writing experience and is available in various line widths.
