Otto Hutt designC silver smooth fountain pen

The designC is an exceptional fountain pen made of solid 925 sterling silver, precisely crafted and designed as a collector's item. Engravings on the cap and barrel with "Made in Germany," individual numbering, the Otto Hutt logo, and a silver hallmark also serve as a guide when filling the pen. When the logo and marking are aligned, the final writing position has been reached.

The matte black, PVD-coated writing unit sets ergonomic standards. A solid 18-karat yellow gold index on the barrel and cap replaces the classic clip and defines the clean design. At its heart is the specially developed pull-plus-twist mechanism. By pulling, the fountain pen is brought into the filling position, immersed in ink, and twisted back, with the gold nib reliably drawing ink.

This mechanism, a world first, was developed to celebrate Otto Hutt's 100th anniversary. The designC comes in a silver-colored box, including a case made of vegetable-tanned felted leather, a silver polishing cloth, a 100YRS booklet, a numbered certificate of authenticity, and archival-quality ink. The silver weighs 34 grams, and the gold weighs 1 gram.
