The Namiki Yukari Wolf Moon Limited Edition 2026 captures the mysterious atmosphere of the first full moon in January, traditionally known as the Wolf Moon. At the centre of the design is a white wolf in a quiet winter landscape, rendered on black Urushi lacquer.
The motif combines silver powder with Raden mother-of-pearl elements, Hira Maki-e and Togidashi Maki-e. The wolf's eye is a particularly striking Raden detail. Shimmering Raden is also used in the mountain silhouettes, while the full moon, forest and grasses are rendered with silver powder and different Maki-e techniques.
The edition is signed by Kokkokai artisans and limited to 300 pieces worldwide. Its release is scheduled for 11 December 2026.
