Namiki Aya Limpid Stream Maki-e Fountain Pen

The Namiki Aya Limpid Stream, known in Japanese as Seiryu, belongs to the large Aya Collection. Its design interprets the movement of clear water and combines coloured Urushi lacquer with the traditional Togidashi Maki-e technique. Decorative layers are embedded in the lacquer, then carefully polished to create a smooth surface with pronounced visual depth.

The Aya Collection is made by artists of Kokkokai, the long established lacquer art group associated with Pilot and Namiki. The fountain pen has an ebonite body and a large size 30 nib made of 18 karat gold. It fills with Pilot cartridges or a converter.
