The Pierrot and Pierrette Collection is the sixth edition in David Oscarson's series of limited-edition writing instruments. Inspired by the romantic story of two characters from the Commedia dell'arte , it combines artistic refinement, craftsmanship, and symbolic depth.

According to legend, Pierrot is the good-natured, dreamy clown who is in love with the beautiful Pierrette . Their love oscillates between affection and distance – a play of closeness and melancholy. If she reciprocates his love, they sit together on the crescent moon; if not, Pierrot remains alone, playing his mandolin, lost in longing. This poetic interplay of joy and sorrow forms the heart of the collection.

Each writing instrument is crafted from 18-karat gold and .925 sterling silver and undergoes three levels of fine guilloché engraving: First, overlapping circles are carved in high relief, then a delicate woven pattern is engraved (visible on the Pierrette model), and finally, a radiating sunburst design is cut into the surface. The result is a harmonious composition of movement, light, and depth.

The collection combines up to five colors of translucent and opaque hard enamel, applied by hand in multiple layers, fired at over 1000°F, sanded, and polished. This masterful enameling technique creates a surface of exceptional luminosity and silky sheen. Each variant is finished with rhodium vermeil , which elegantly complements the neutral color scheme.

A special detail: Each piece is set with three VVS-1 diamonds (0.016 carats each) – one on the cap, one at the end of the stem and one on the clip – a subtle symbol of purity and eternal connection.

The Pierrot and Pierrette Collection is limited to 88 pieces worldwide per color variant and is offered as a fountain pen (F, M, B) or rollerball.
