David Oscarson - Nikola Tesla Collection
The Nikola Tesla Collection is the 35th edition of David Oscarson's limited-edition writing instruments and a tribute to one of the most visionary inventors of the modern era. Tesla, born in 1856 in what is now Croatia and later emigrated to the USA, changed the world with his developments in alternating current technology. More than 700 patents bear his name, and many of his ideas continue to shape technology today.
Each writing instrument in the collection is crafted from solid sterling silver and incorporates elements from Tesla's life and work. His signature, the symbol for alternating current, and a rotating magnetic field appear in high relief on the barrel, while the Tesla Coil forms the background in fine relief engraving. The grip section features technical drawings of his AC generator and induction motor.
The cap is dominated by Tesla's tower clip, surrounded by engraved currents of electricity. An X-ray of his hand appears in the background of the spiral. The symbol of the unit of measurement Tesla is inscribed on the crown, complemented by a depiction of his white dove, which accompanied him until his death.
The collection combines these motifs with translucent hard enamel, which is applied by hand in several layers, fired, sanded, and polished. The result is a surface with exceptional depth and brilliance.
The Nikola Tesla Collection is available in various color variations, each limited to 86 pieces , as a fountain pen (F, M, B) or rollerball.
A tribute to Tesla's genius, his perseverance, and his unwavering belief in the power of progress.
