David Oscarson – Lord Ganesha Collection
The Lord Ganesha Collection is the 31st edition of David Oscarson's limited-edition writing instruments and is dedicated to one of the most important deities in Hinduism. Ganesha, son of Shiva, is considered the lord of all beings and a symbol of knowledge, wisdom, and the overcoming of obstacles.
The collection reimagines the iconic image of Ganesha in intricate engraving and translucent hard enamel. The god appears with an elephant's head, one broken and one whole tusk, a large belly, and crossed legs. This form symbolizes the ability to overcome opposites, bear experiences, and maintain inner peace. At his feet lies food, representing material prosperity. A small, condescending glance at the master serves as a reminder of the mastery of desires.
Ganesha's four arms hold an axe, rope, modaka and lotus – symbols of the destruction of obstacles, liberation from entanglements, the joy of spiritual knowledge and the highest goal of development.
The shaft bears a Sanskrit prayer asking for Ganesha's blessing and for all endeavors to be free from obstacles. The Om symbol, representing ultimate reality, is repeated three times on the cap. A Trishula symbol adorns the cap's peak.
Crafted from solid sterling silver and built up in elaborate layers of translucent enamel, the collection combines ancient symbolism with artisanal precision.
The Lord Ganesha Collection is available in various design variations, each limited to 108 pieces , as a fountain pen (F, M, B) or rollerball.
A writing instrument that combines spiritual depth, traditional imagery, and masterful craftsmanship.
