David Oscarson - Harlequin Collection
The Harlequin Collection is the sixteenth edition of the series and comprises five color variations, each limited to 88 pieces. It complements the characters Pierrot and Pierrette from the Commedia dell'arte . Harlequin is the cunning outsider with a sharp mind, fearless attitude, and his iconic patchwork suit made from scraps of fabric. His role embodies survival skills, wit, and the courage to forge his own path in a harsh world.
The collection combines classic guilloché engraving with masterful hard enamel. Multiple engraving stages form an Art Deco pattern of interlocking diamonds, whose contours and central areas are in high relief. Five enamel colors, both transparent and opaque, accentuate the diamond pattern. Onyx Black, Pearl White, and Sapphire Blue are rendered in a bright silver finish, while Emerald Green and Ruby Red are executed in gold vermeil.
Each writing instrument is enamelled, fired, filed, and polished by hand in numerous steps until its characteristic glass surface is achieved. The manufacturing process demands years of experience and absolute precision. Three VVS 1 diamonds add accents to the clip, crown, and end of the barrel.
The filling system supports cartridges, converters, or eyedroppers. The 18-karat gold nib from Heidelberg is rhodium-plated, iridium-tipped, and supported by an ebonite feed.
