David Oscarson - Consider the Lilies Collection
The Consider the Lilies Collection marks David Oscarson's tenth anniversary and symbolizes gratitude, purity, and beauty. Inspired by the lily—a symbol of virtue and renewal—this collection evokes all that is precious, hopeful, and true.
Each writing instrument is crafted from solid .925 sterling silver and combines three levels of guilloché engraving with up to six shades of translucent and opaque hard enamel. First, the surface is ground down to the background layer, creating high-relief lines of the lilies, leaves, and water lilies. The background is then filled with opaque enamel in black or white and fired.
Particularly noteworthy is the technical innovation of this edition: For the first time , three enamel colors are fused together on a single surface without being separated by raised lines. The color gradients of the lily blossoms – in saffron, citrine, ruby, and emerald – flow irregularly and vividly, just like in nature. Thus, each blossom becomes a unique work of art made of light and color.
The Consider the Lilies Collection is the brand's twelfth edition and is produced in two color variations, each limited to 88 pieces , including fountain pens (F, M, B) and rollerball pens:
-
Opaque Black with Translucent Saffron, Citrine, Ruby and Emerald Hard Enamel in Gold Vermeil
-
Opaque White with Translucent Saffron, Citrine, Ruby and Emerald Hard Enamel in Gold Vermeil
A symbol of hope and beauty, captured in masterful enamel and engraving – the Consider the Lilies Collection is a reminder of the virtue that lies in simplicity and truth.
