The Alfred Bernhard Nobel Collection is the 13th edition in David Oscarson's series of limited-edition writing instruments and a tribute to a man whose life united opposites – power and peace, destruction and hope. Alfred Nobel, inventor of dynamite and founder of the Nobel Peace Prize, shaped the world with innovation and idealism. His inventions revolutionized industry, while his legacy remains a symbol of humanity and progress to this day.

The collection impressively captures this duality in its design. The shaft represents Nobel's technical genius and the destructive power of his inventions: an exploding stick of dynamite with a burning fuse, flanked by the years 1833 and 1896. The lower end of the shaft is reminiscent of a detonator – engraved with the Swedish words Varning (Warning), Tändhattar (Detonator), and Fara (Danger). Four levels of engraving create a dynamic explosion, overlaid with four blended hard enamel colors – from white through yellow and orange to red – symbolizing energy, change, and creative power.

In contrast, the cap honors Nobel's ideal of peace. Its recurring pattern of white doves – the international symbol of peace – is crowned by his name , Alfred Bernhard Nobel . At the top of the cap are the three crowns of Sweden, familiar from the City Hall in Stockholm, where every year on December 10, the anniversary of Nobel's death, Nobel laureates are honored together with the royal family.

Like all editions of the brand, the Alfred Bernhard Nobel Collection combines traditional guilloché engraving with the finest hard enamel technique. Each component is enameled in several layers, fired at over 1000°F, then ground and polished until the surface achieves its characteristic depth and silky sheen.

The collection is available in five color variations, each limited to 63 pieces – a symbol of Alfred Nobel's 63 years of life:
