Celestial Collection

The Celestial Collection transfers the motif of the writing instruments of the same name to a handcrafted folding knife made of solid sterling silver. Each color variation is limited to 88 pieces and features a celestial image modeled in engraving and enamel.

The silver surfaces are guilloched in several layers, so that sunbeams, the sun's surface, moon phases, and stars stand out clearly. The sun appears three-dimensional on the slightly curved surface. The moon phases are set in high relief, while stars of varying diameters and depths lie above and below the enamel.

The enamel is created from finely ground glass, which is applied layer by layer and fired at over 1,000 degrees Celsius. Since many designs use multiple colors, the pieces are fired up to twenty times and then re-ground. The process ends with a clear, glass-like finish. This technique requires extensive training and significantly determines the quality of each edition.

The blade is made of Swedish Damasteel DS93X Damascus steel. A small diamond is set into the silver of each thumb stud.

The Celestial Collection combines precision, elaborate craftsmanship and a thematically coherent design that brings heaven and eternity into the object.
