Each cartridge contains 0.9 ml of water-based ink, providing a smooth writing experience and rich, vibrant colour. Continuously refined since 1918, iroshizuku inks represent exceptional quality and a memorable writing experience.

The name combines two Japanese words: “iro” means colour and reflects the range and high standard of the inks, while “shizuku” means droplet. Figuratively, iroshizuku therefore means “drops of colour”.
