With the driving of the golden spike at Promontory Summit, Utah, East and West were connected for the first time by a continuous track. Travel time between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans was reduced from months to days, ushering in a new era of mobility and growth.

The collection pays tribute to the achievements of the more than 4,000 workers who, under extreme conditions, made this national connection possible. The cap and barrel depict the routes of the two legendary locomotives, Jupiter and No. 119, which traveled from Sacramento and Omaha, respectively, and met in Utah. The seven states traversed are represented in high relief, each with its own guilloché pattern.

Beneath the enamel, the two locomotives are visible in negative engraving. The names Central Pacific and Union Pacific are inscribed in high relief at the ends of the writing instrument. Historical emblems of the railroad companies adorn the crown and the end of the barrel.

The handle bears the dates of the start and completion of construction, as well as the original quote from the Golden Nail:
“May God continue the unity of our Country as this Railroad unites the two great Oceans of the world.”

Crafted from solid sterling silver and finished with translucent hard enamel, the collection combines historical accuracy with artistic enamel work.

The Golden Spike Collection is available in two design variants, each limited to 150 pieces , as a fountain pen (F, M, B) or rollerball.

A writing instrument that celebrates the completion of a technical masterpiece and captures the meeting of two worlds in a single historical moment.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0872/8058/3001/files/7_ac9fc559-8cc7-4b43-97e9-6a174ccc1037.png?v=1763068016
